The 22nd Annual Lakota Omniciye Wacipi (POW WOW) »
Many students, family, and staff of the Pine Ridge School participated in the 22nd Annual Lakota Omniciye Wacipi (POW WOW) from April 17th through April 19th 2004. The POW WOW was held at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center (Black Hills State College) in Spearfish, S.D.
Our very own Jessica Helper earned the title of Miss Lakota Omniciye on Sunday, April 19th and she will proudly represent the school and the Lakota for the next year until she passes the title on to the 2005 winner. We are all very proud of her.
Additionally, many others proudly participated in the event, and it would be impossible to list them all. Just suffice to say, that the Pine Ridge community is proud of each and every one of you that participated and assisted with the Lakota Omniciye Wacipi (POW WOW). Thanks for your support.
