2004 Youth Struggling for Survival Summit »

On April 15th and 16th 2004, the Youth Struggling for Survival (YSS) program from Chicago directed by Frank Tekpatzin Blazquez, hosted a youth summit ("RED NOIZE 2004") for Pine Ridge High School. The YSS was joined by a group of Mandan, Hidatsu, and Arikara youth from North Dakota; a youth group from Nebraska; and part of the YSS included youth from California. The intent was to share knowledge and friendship through a series of workshops which our students and staff could rotate through over the day and a half period. Additionally, the YSS hosted a dance party on the evening of the 15th at the school.

The students, parents, and entire staff of the Pine Ridge School wish to extend our sincerest gratitude for the knowledge and friendship that Frank and his group extended towards us.
